The 8.4-inch display has a resolution of 2560 x 1600, and there are variations of Corei5 and Corei7 models, all with 16GB of memory.
I was able to borrow "ONEXPLAYER" before its release, so I would like to introduce how it felt to touch it. "ONEXPLAYER" is a gaming PC with basic Windows installed. Of course, it is possible to replace the OS, but Windows would be the best to demonstrate all the functions.
The controller is non-detachable and fixed like the company's gaming PC "ONE-GX1". Instead, the keyboard is not installed, and the keyboard is sold separately (9680 yen) and is detachable.
When you open the box of the main body that was sent, you will find a larger housing than you imagined. Since the controller is attached to the 8.4-inch display, it can't be helped that it's fairly large. That said, it's still small compared to laptops. The display is glossy and touch operation is possible. The buttons are two sticks, four-way controller, ABXY button, LB, LT, RB, RT and Xbox compliant.
The interface has two USB 4 terminals x1, USB 3.0 Type-A terminal x1, 3.5mm audio terminal and microSD card slot on the top. One of the USB 4.0 terminals also serves as a power supply charging.
There is a keyboard connection terminal under the main unit, which can be attached and detached with a magnet. The power supply is originally on the back, and when you press the round part, the power turns on.
It is called a gaming PC, and the CPU is Corei5 or Corei7, and the GPU is Iris Xe Graphics. Wi-Fi 6 compatible and battery is 15300mAh. The weight of the main body only is 820 grams.

Immediately try "ONEXPLAYER". Start by pressing the button on the back of the main unit. The resolution is 2560 x 1600, but it is enlarged to 250% by default. In other words, if you return to 100% size on an 8.4-inch display, you will not be able to read the characters properly. When I set it to 100% as a trial, the screen can be used widely, but the characters cannot be read properly. However, if you prepare a monitor separately and output it externally, you can get a considerable resolution.
After using the touch operation and software keyboard for a while, I wanted a physical keyboard, so I attached the physical keyboard that came with it. It's hard to get used to because the array is unique. It's a compact layout keyboard where the underbar position, numbers and function keys are together.
It is natural that the usability will be sacrificed if it is made smaller, but the minimum comfort is still maintained. The rest will get used to it.
I measured the performance I was interested in using various benchmark software. When measured using the representative CPU benchmark software "CINEBENCH R23", the score is 3659 for multi-core, which is reasonably good. As of July 26, 2021, it is the 12th highest among the CPUs on the market. That said, Threadripper and Xeon are in the top three.
Next, measure how much 3D drawing ability you have. However, GeForce and Radeon are not equipped with it, so it is better not to expect too much. When "3DMark" starts up, it always works at around 10 frames. In the first place, "3DMark" is made heavy to put stress on the GPU. The frame rate was around 10 frames in the following "TEST1" and "TEST2". 3DMark's TimeSpyScore is 1714, graphics only 1533, and CPU only 4156. It seems that the CPU performance is outstanding. By the way, for reference, the TimeSpyScore of other GPUs exceeds 5000 even with GeForce 1070 two generations ago, and if it becomes 1714, GTX1050 will be at the same level. With the RTX3080, it hits 17000, which is 10 times higher. It is said that if it is 4000 or more, you can play full HD games comfortably.
Then, let's try how the game actually works. Start "Resident Evil Village", set the graphics settings to the recommended settings, and set the resolution to 720p, which is recommended by the Japanese agency Tech One. "ONEXPLAYER" itself is 2560 x 1600, but when it comes to games that use 3D, 720p is recommended. "Resident Evil Village" is 30fps, but it works. There are occasional stuttering scenes, but it works without any problems.
Although it is unreasonable, I try to start "Cyberpunk 2077". Since it is a fairly heavy game, it is difficult to bring it up to start in the first place. Such "Cyberpunk 2077", but as expected, it froze during startup and crashed. regret.
I would like to list the games that worked comfortably from among the many games list. "Skylim", "The Witcher 3", "Left 4 Dead", "Half-Life", "Portal" and others acted on alert. Of course, depending on the settings, games other than the above will work without problems. However, since it does not have a dedicated GPU, it seems difficult to play at a high frame rate and high resolution.
This model also supports an external "GPU box", so you can use a powerful GPU such as the GeForce RTX 3080 or 3090. The connection will be Thunderbolt.
Just the other day, Valve, which operates Steam, announced a game console called Steam Deck. This is a game machine based on SteamOS. It looks like a game machine, but it does the same thing as a gaming PC, and it is possible to replace SteamOS with Windows.
The performance is equipped with AMD's APU and Zen2CPU. It's not k, it's a RDNA2 compatible GPU. You might think it's expensive, but it's as cheap as $399. However, the main body resolution is limited to 1280 x 800, and it cannot be used widely like "ONEXPLAYER".
This "ONEXPLAYER" is designed to be used as a PC. Therefore, there is also a dedicated keyboard, and Windows 10 is preinstalled. Of course, external output to a large monitor is also possible.
Inspired by the Nintendo Switch, the number of mobile gaming PCs like this has increased, but in the end it depends on the software, not the performance.
Only the Ultimate Edition of "ONEXPLAYER" will be released on August 7, 2021, and the others will be released on August 23, 2021. Please see below for various prices.
