If you share the photos taken with your smartphone and the saved images to the cloud storage, you can rest assured even if your smartphone is damaged or lost.
However, it is troublesome to share photos manually.
Therefore, I would like to utilize the "Google Photos app". If you use the Google Photos app, you can automatically back up the photo data on your smartphone instead of manually.

Then, I will introduce how to automatically share the photo data taken (saved) to Google Photos using an Android smartphone.
1: First, launch the Google Photos app. If it is an Android smartphone, it should have been installed from the beginning, but if you cannot find it, install it from the "Google Play Store". 2: When you open the app, the account icon will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. Please tap here.
3: Tap "Turn on backup".
4: Select either "Original image quality" or "Saving capacity saving image quality".
◯ Original image quality / You can save the photo to Google Photos with the original image quality. However, the free storage of Google Photos is 15GB (shared with Google Drive and Gmail). Therefore, if you save the original image quality, the capacity may fill up quickly. ◯ Saving storage capacity Image quality / Save photos and videos to Google Photos with slightly lower image quality. Because it saves space, you can save more photos and videos than when you saved them in "original quality".
5: Enable or disable "Use mobile data when Wi-Fi is not available".
◯ If you enable the use of mobile data communication, you can back up photos and videos to Google Photos even if you are not in a Wi-Fi environment, but depending on the communication plan you have subscribed to, data restrictions may be applied. I have.
6: Check the Google account displayed at the end and tap "Confirm".
When the above operation is completed, the photos and video data saved on your smartphone will be automatically backed up to Google Photos.
If you want to cancel the setting for sharing photos / videos to Google Photos, follow the steps below.
1: Open the Google Photos app. 2: Tap the account icon at the top right of the screen.
3: Tap "Photo settings".
4: Select "Backup and Sync".
5: Disable "Backup and Sync".
With the above operation, you can cancel the automatic sharing setting to Google Photos.
So far, we have introduced how to automatically share photos to Google Photos using an Android smartphone, but is it possible to automatically share photos on iPhone with the same operation?
I will actually try it using iPhone SE 2nd generation (iOS 14.8).
1: Launch the Google Photos app. If you haven't installed the Google Photos app, install it from the "App Store". 2: After launching the Google Photos app, tap the account icon at the top right of the screen. If you are not logged in, log in to your Google account.
3: Tap "Turn on backup".
4: Select "Save image quality" or "Original image quality". Since the maximum capacity that can be saved in Google Photos is 15GB, if you want to save space, select "Image quality that saves storage capacity". If you want to save the original image quality, select "Original image quality".
5: Enable or disable "Use mobile data when Wi-Fi is not available". If you enable it, photos and videos will be backed up even in mobile data communication, so if you are concerned about data restrictions on your smartphone, please disable it. 6: Finally, check the Google account at the bottom of the screen and tap "Confirm" to complete the operation.
When the above operation is completed, the icon at the top right of the screen will switch and uploading will start.
If you want to cancel the automatic sharing (backup) setting, tap the account icon and disable the automatic backup from "Google Photos settings".
