今回、"Yumemi's half life"でバーチャルプロダクションで撮ったり演じたりするのは、一般的な撮影と違いますか。
Director Ueda: The essential part has not changed.However, since it was not an actual location site, it was necessary to devise a production and play so that it looks like a location site.The ingenuity was hard and fun.In the studio, the wind did not touch, so I woke up with a fan.Lighting light with lighting.
However, I was conscious of saying, "What is it for the actors, isn't it difficult to do it?"The actors change their own.There is something that is reflected in the background, so it is easier to do than a green back, but there is no scenery in places other than the screen.It is different from the usual site.
Hika Matsumoto (Matsumoto): There was nothing different from the usual play.What you do is the same.There is a partner and played with that person.

──Is this work only for virtual production and does not use VFX at all?
Director Ueda: I used a little.I make it under rules that do not use CG as much as possible, but the smoke, sparks, and nunchaksiver in the shooting scene are VFX.
─ This time, the special situation of Corona evil and the setting of multiple locations in a short period of time, so the virtual production is being used. What is the reason for using it in the future?
Ueda: First of all, there is an advantage that the weather is not influenced by the weather.
In addition, a 14 and 15 -year -old boy appears in this work, but by law, children can only appear (work) until 8:00 pm.With virtual production, you can take night scenes from daytime.I wonder if I can calm down and shoot well.

──"Yumemi's half life"は閉館間際の映画館から登場し、映画の楽しさや魅力が語られています。なんだか、上田監督の映画への思いや、コロナ禍で危機的状態に陥った映画館への憂いが込められた作品だと感じました。監督はどのような気持ちを込めて本作を作ったのでしょうか。
